Delkor Co. Ltd was established in 1985 as a joint venture with GM, the largest automobile company in the United States.
In 2010, it merged with Clarios, the world's largest automotive battery company, with the goal of supplying superior quality automotive batteries. Currently, our company is known as Clarios.
 Delkor supplies a wide range of batteries manufactured using maintenance-free MF, EFB and AGM processes to global automotive companies including Hyundai, Kia, Toyota, Honda and Nissan to name a few. It has also expanded it’s battery supply to the motorcycle sector including industrial, commercial, agricultural, deep cycle and marine.

Establishes Delkor Co. Ltd.
1986
Completes first production plant construction in Gumi, South Korea.
1987
1st automotive battery company in Korea to produce Calcium
Maintenance-free (CA-MF) batteries.
1987-2002
Acquires battery supply rights from OE car manufacturers in Korea and Japan,
and continues to supply batteries to them to this day.
1996
Renamed company to Delkor Corporation.
2006-2022
Top winner of Korean Standard-Quality Excellence Awards since 2006.
2014
Integrates with Johnson Controls and is renamed to Johnson Controls Delkor Battery Corporation.
2016
Delkor Brand becomes an endorsed brand of Johnson Controls.
2019
Power Solutions separates from Johnson Controls International,
LLC. to become its own entity, Clarios.

Establishes Delkor Co. Ltd.
